Elba had given birth to Silvina just a couple of days before. She was her fourth child with Juan, her constant companion. The older siblings were eager to meet her, though they still couldn't quite grasp how she had gone from living inside their mother's belly to being right there with them, in the same room.
As a little girl, Elba had looked after her younger siblings. With a patient ear and shy eyes, she had dreamed of becoming a teacher, of having a family of her own.
