When María told him they were going to be parents, Jorge began to perceive time differently. As a watchmaker, he carried a multitude of questions. What if the baby had his eyes? What if it was a girl? What adventures would they have together? What if time ran out?
If it was a boy, he would surely inherit his mustache; if it was a girl, his eyebrows. They would visit family in Uruguay, and the child would learn about nature, see the native animals of the Uruguayan coast, and enjoy a good barbecue.
