Armando knotted his tie, grabbed his checkered overcoat, and headed for the door. At the last moment he stopped, something was missing: his sunglasses. Armando never went anywhere without his aviators.
Carlos María Ramírez Street was packed with traffic—typical of a Thursday in the city. Cristina waited in La Teja with a nervous smile. She too wore large frames.
Armando’s eyes met Cristina’s.
“Yes, I do.”
As soon as the ceremony ended, they rushed to pack their suitcases. It was almost time for their honeymoon in Buenos Aires.
