Horacio got up early, but unlike other times, it wasn't to swim at the Brava beach or ride his motorcycle to José Ignacio. That Sunday there was a decisive match for La Cachimba del Rey in the local youth soccer championship.
Horacio, as coach, explained the positions to each player and outlined the warm-up exercises. Before they took the field, he gave them one of his motivational talks. Everyone knew him as the coach with the sweet loud voice, the best adviser.
The team went out to win and almost made it, if not for that goal in the final minutes. The young players found comfort in the coach's fried pastries.
